Kelly Lin plays the leading role in the Affordable Evaluation Services. She got her PhD in Public Health and minor in methodology inquiry at Indiana University. She also works as a senior policy analyst for a non-profit organization in DC.
Kelly has extensive experiences in reserach, evaluation, and survey studies. She has 8-year experiences in program evaluations (40+) including state-wide intervention evalution, community-wide intervnetion evaluation, campaign message evaluation, and curriculum evaluation. Her experitise is to use evaluation as an effective tool to help her clients solve problems or make correct decisions. Results have been published in manuscripts and conference papers. She believes that evaluation is not a way to judge if a program/product/concept is successful or not. However, evaluation should be treated as a useful tool to find out the problems and the ways to solve those hidden problems if being used properly. By using mixed-method evaluation strategies, she increases the value of the data that have already been collected and always extracts useful inforamtion from the datasets that seem no value. She believes that everyone should be part of the evaluation so that the usefulness of the evlauation results could be improved. Thus, she not only focuses on high-quality evlaution but also does her best to explain compliated evaluation concepts to the people that she has been working with using simple and understandable words. "Enjoyable working experiences" and "Professional work" are comments that she received the most from her clients.
